The stunning terrain and bountiful wilderness of the Adirondacks have drawn settlers, adventurers, entrepreneurs, and vacationers for hundreds of years. The ADKX brings the story of this unique region to life with interactive exhibits, educational programs, and academic research. A range of materials were developed to highlight this broad range of topics while encouraging visitors to venture to the remote Blue Mountain Lake to experience life in the Adirondacks. A wealth of content about art, industry, science, exploration, technology, geology, and culture was discovered in the extensive ADKX research catalogue.

Acknowledging the community and raising funds are a crucial part of creating a sustainable future for the ADKX. The Annual Gale event branding connected the past and present of the Adirondack region through the stories, geography, and material culture that is preserved by the ADKX.
